My work begins with the design of every piece. I usually sketch on a notebook to keep a record of ideas and shapes but most of the time I design by playing with stones and structures of metal and imagining the subsequent steps and proportions of what is taking shape in my hands and in my mind.
Sometimes I like to draw complete collections or pieces made to order and proceed according to the plan.

Then comes the work in the studio: fire, hammering, lots of tools, attention to detail, precision as well as intuitive gestures and lots of fun.

As a goldsmith and designer nothing compares to the freedom and mystery of silently creating a piece that later becomes someone's desire.
But it is in the dialog with a costumer where I find a big challenge: to be able to understand that person's wishes and the spirit of an idea that now belongs to both of us.

My desire is to keep on learning techniques and visiting inspiring places, to get better day by day at the skills of my art and to have a broader dialog with those who love the metal's Art.
